Did you get your skin tanned during summer? As much as we enjoy sunshine, we have to remember that excessive UV can hurt your skin and hair cells, that’s why it’s important to help your skin to recover after sunbathing. Today we will introduce 7 food that contains antioxidants which help prevent your skin from aging and let your skin heal faster:

  1. Dark chocolates

We love chocolates and dark chocolates contain antioxidants called flavonoids, which fight free radicals to protect your skin from UV damage and prevent the appearance of wrinkles.

  1. Avocados

Avocados also contain antioxidants, fiber, potassium, magnesium, and folate, and one avocado is packed with more potassium than a medium banana.

The monounsaturated acid packed in avocado helps lowering bad cholesterol levels and reduces the appearance of aging in skin. The fatty acid is also essential for shiny skin, hair and nail.

  1. Spinach

Spinach contains vitamin C, vitamin E, and β-carotene which keep your skin from forming wrinkles. These all work together to protect your skin from the sun’s aging UV rays.

  1. Berries

Berries are loaded with anti-inflammatory agents and vitamins that help protect you from premature aging. The antioxidants in berries help minimize the damage of free radicals, which can accelerate wrinkle formation and cause disease.

  1. Walnuts

Walnuts contain nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E that are good for your skin and hair cell recovery.

  1. Flaxseeds

Flaxseeds provide large amount of omega-3 fatty acids, both omega-6 and omega- 3 fatty acids help relieving acne and eczema. Omega-3s reduces skin inflammation that maintain a healthy rate of skin cell renewal.

  1. Sprouts

Sprouts contain high levels of omega 3 fatty acids which decrease inflammation and reduce the risk of acne and other skin problems. Sprouts also contain antioxidant known as sulforaphane which kills the free radicals to protect the skin from sun damage and aging.
